Abilitech Assist Device for SCI Clinic Day - September 29th, 2021

Touchstone Rehabilitation will be hosting a clinic day on September 29th, 2021 to trial the Abilitech Assist device. This clinic is primarily for clients with C4, C5, and C6 injuries and the below criteria.

  • Patients with neuromuscular weakness

  • Manual Muscle Test (MMT) score of 2-3 for shoulder and elbow flexion

  • Ability to initiate horizontal shoulder adduction

  • Ability to raise forearm off their lap or lap tray

  • Non-ambulatory or use power wheelchair

  • Humeral section length ~ 10.3”–13.3”

  • Men’s adult shirt size size XS-3XL

  • Caregiver available to provide support with donning/doffing device

If you are interested in attending this clinic day, call Touchstone Rehabilitation to schedule. During the clinic, you will be evaluated for and trial the Abilitech Assist device that day. The device can help lift the arm by unweighting the arm, allowing you to practice eating, drinking, and reaching your face and head.
